-- Get your quarters up. Les Savy Fav guitarist Seth Jabour has created the soundtrack for a New York video game art project. Faile and Bast have turned a storefront on New York's Lower East Side into a functional video arcade, with old arcade games retrofitted to run new games by Adapted Studio, all with sounds by Jabour. Deluxx Fluxx, at 158 Allen Street, will be open from tomorrow to May 27.

-- Knitting Factory Records' plan to reissue every last Fela Kuti record continues. On May 11, the label will release the "Na Poi" series: 14 albums on seven CDs, almost all from the mid-1970s.

-- On May 10, UMC will release Callin' All, a four-CD career-spanning box set from British power-pop band the La's. It'll include a disc of singles, two live discs, and one that collects outtakes.

-- The Downtown Sound New Music Mondays series of free shows at Chicago's Millennium Park, kicks off May 24 with Besnard Lakes and the Ponys. The series continues through the summer, with Monday night shows from She & Him, Caribou, the Thermals, the Books, Hum, Tony Allen, Kid Sister, and others.
